Reception
There are many things to take into consideration, when planning your wedding reception. The location, the timing, the food, etc. First of all you must decide what time the reception will be, morning, afternoon or dinner, as this will dictate the reception. The reception venue is of personal taste.
If you are having a morning reception, an excellent option is to serve a nice buffet following the ceremony.
For a noontime reception, you could start around 12:00 or 1:00 p.m. Keep things light so people feel comfortable to dance and mingle.
A popular option is a cocktail reception, which typically starts anywhere from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. You can serve international coffee and tea along with punch and champagne or wine. Finger foods is ideal along with cake.
The most popular reception is the dinner reception, which usually starts around 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. The dinner reception allows guests to stay on after the bride and groom have left, usually to 12am.
